1. Why is the new benefit plan for part-time partners only?

Petco already offers a comprehensive benefit plan to full-time partners, and now we're investing in part-time partners by offering a benefit plan that covers preventive medical exams and other medical services.

2. Where can partners learn more about the Part-Time Medical Plan?

Visit the Part-Time Partners Medical page to view plan details, premium rates and how to enroll. BenefitHarbor will be available to take questions beginning August 4. Additional mail notifications will be sent to eligible partners.

3. When can partners enroll?

Part-Time new hires have 30 days from their effective date of hire to enroll in the FlexWorks Bridge Plan. Your coverage will become effective the first day of the pay period following your enrollment date. 4. Can partners cover their family?

Yes, partners who elect coverage for themselves can also elect coverage for eligible dependents.

5. What services are covered?

This plan meets the Affordable Care Act's essential coverage requirements and provides access to essential health benefits at an affordable cost. Visit the Part-Time Partners Medical page for to view plan details, premium rates and enroll.

6. Does the plan offer dental or vision coverage?

No. The FlexWork Bridge Plan covers medical and pharmacy benefits with bundled hospital indemnity and accident plans, and EAP services.

7. Where can partners search for providers?

Visit www.flexwork.uhc.com to search for in-network providers. If you have prescription coverage questions or need more information, contact FlexWork Pre-member Services at 1-855-892-2401, Monday-Friday 7:30 am to 8 pm CT.

8. Can partners contribute to Flexible Savings Accounts, Daycare Savings Accounts or Health Savings Accounts?

Part-time partners are not eligible to contribute spending accounts through Petco's company-subsidized benefits plan. However, if a partner is eligible for one of these accounts under another plan, it can be used to pay for expenses under the FlexWork Bridge Plan.

9. How do partners report a Qualified Life Event (QLE)?

Partners experiencing a Qualified Life Event will have 30 days from the event date to make changes to their FlexWorks Bridge Plan. Call BenefitHarbor at 1-888-534-1593 to make changes, Monday-Friday, 8 am to 6 pm CT.

Coverage changes due to a Qualified Life Event will be effective as soon as administratively feasible, but no later than the start of the next pay period, following the date the change is requested, except for New Baby, those will be effective as of the date of birth.

10. How are the premiums paid?

Premium payments will be automatically deducted on a pre-tax basis from your paycheck starting with the pay period in which your coverage begins. If your earnings in a pay period aren't enough to cover the full premium, no deduction will be taken, resulting in a missed premium.

11. What happens if a partner misses a premium deduction?

Partners who miss 3 premium payments, either consecutively or non-consecutively, will receive an invoice for the total amount of missed premiums. Partners will have 30 days from the invoice date to submit full payment.

12. What happens if the missed premiums are not paid in full?

If required premiums are not paid within the designated timeframe, benefits will be retroactively canceled to the last date a premium was successfully deducted via payroll, prior to the issuance of the invoice.

This process will also apply for any partners who are New Hires, on Leave, or have a Qualifying Event that results in a missed retroactive premium.

13. What happens if a part-time status partner transfers to full-time status?

If you transfer to a full-time you become eligible for company-subsidized benefits and coverage under the FlexWork Bridge Plan will end the last day of the pay period in which the event's effective date falls

Partners will receive enrollment information for company-subsidized benefits in the mail and must enroll in new coverage through Alight. New coverage becomes effective the first of the month following 30 days from the date of changes.

14. When does part-time status get measured for full-time eligibility?

Part-time new hire partners will be measured on their one-year anniversary date with a 12-month lookback and will be moved to full-time status and be eligible for benefits if they average at least 30+ hours per week during the lookback period.

Part-time partners with more than one year of service will be measured annually, in November.

15. Can a full-time partner participate in the FlexWork Bridge Plan?

No. ACA requires employers to offer full-time benefits to partners in a full-time status. Only partners in part-time status are eligible to participate in the FlexWork Bridge Plan.
