New voluntary benefits carrier - Aflac Direct Link

Aflac will be our new provider for critical illness, hospital indemnity and accident insurance. These plans offer direct payments to you if you experience a covered illness or injury, providing additional financial protection when it matters most. You can add or increase coverage without any medical questions or preexisting condition limitations.

For hourly partners, Aflac will also provide voluntary life and AD&D insurance. You'll have the opportunity to enroll or increase coverage — up to the guaranteed issue amounts — without needing to provide evidence of insurability.

If you are currently enrolled in any Voya supplemental plan, i.e. Life and AD&D, Critical Illness, Accident, and/or Hospital Indemnity, your election will carry over for the 2026 plan year if no changes are made during open enrollment 2026.

Starting in 2026, partners enrolled in a UMR-UHC plan will receive coverage for bariatric surgery, hip and knee replacements, and spinal surgeries exclusively through Carrum Health. This change ensures you get top-quality care from the nation's leading surgeons. It's all part of our continued commitment to providing exceptional, affordable care when you need it most.

Did you know that an outpatient total knee replacement surgery in the U.S. can cost between $25,000 and $40,000+? For Petco partners enrolled in employee-only coverage under the UMR‑UHC Enhanced medical plan, the out-of-pocket maximum is $5,000. However, if a partner uses Carrum Health for their surgery, all pre-appointment, surgical, and post-appointment costs are covered 100% by Petco, meaning there is no out-of-pocket expense.

Plan Design Updates (UMR-United Healthcare ONLY) Direct Link

The following plan design changes will go into effect for UMR-United Healthcare plans.

• UMR-UHC Enhanced plan deductible:
  • Individual deductible: $1,000
  • Family deductible: $2,000

• UMR-UHC copay for emergency room services:
  • $350 copay + 20% coinsurance will apply to the Enhanced, HSA, and Value plan (Emergency room copay is waived if admitted)
